OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM BUILD JAKE'S PLACE

The design is complete, the ground has been broken and the playground equipment will soon be finished, but this October’s Community Build for Jake’s Place - Delran has been postponed! 

A project of this size has many variables - the weather, hiring the proper contractor, site preparation, a multi-day volunteer build, installation of the special rubberized surfacing (which takes a week under strict weather conditions); followed by a Grand Opening which would have taken place mid to late November. Because of unforeseen complications, we must postpone the Community Build until spring of 2019.

The custom-built playground equipment will be carefully stored, a new Community Build date will be announced early next year, and fundraising for Phase II and III of Jake’s Place will continue in 2019. We remain committed to completing Jake’s Place in a timely manner for all to benefit.

Although delays like this are unfortunate, it will certainly be worth the wait.
